Officers enter by competitive selection, are trained by the Corporation, and move through branches, divisions and departments on transfer. It is the grade from which most of LIC’s senior administration is eventually drawn, and it carries no shortcut: progression is by posting, over decades.
RecordRamakrishnan Chander joined the Corporation in 1990 as an Assistant Administrative Officer. Every office he has since held has been within the same institution — a continuous term of service now exceeding thirty-five years.
