The portrait of appointment
This is the photograph Life Insurance Corporation of India issued with its press release of 2 December 2025 announcing that Ramakrishnan Chander had taken charge as Managing Director. It is the primary photographic record of the appointment, and its identification is certain: the same image appears in the Corporation’s own release under his name.
The office portrait
A second official portrait, supplied for this record. The subject is the same person shown in Plate 01. The source file carries no caption, date or location, and so none is stated here; the setting is an office interior with a glazed wall behind the subject.
